Finding of No Significant Impact

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has determined that the Illinois Department of Transportation’s proposed IL 47 (US 14 - Charles Rd) Improvement Project will have no significant impact on the human environment. The FHWA issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) based on the Environmental Assessment (EA) and the errata to the EA. A FONSI is a brief document that concludes the process and documents the decision as to why an action will not have a significant impact on the environment.

The FONSI represents FHWA’s acceptance and approval of the IL 47 (US 14 - Charles Rd) Improvement Project.
